Thomas G. Stephens, Jr., is a certified public accountant and a shareholder in K2 Enterprises, a leading technology consulting and training organization. At K2 Enterprises, Tommydevelops and presents continuing education programs to business professionals across the United States and Canada. To date, he has lectured nationally on subjects such as internal controls for small businesses, technology strategies, computer hardware and software applications, tax strategies and compliance, and financial accounting standards and applications. Over the past 22 years, he has presented over 2,100 educational sessions to over 61,000 participants nationwide.
Tommy earned a B.S. in business administration (with a major in accounting) from Auburn University in 1985, and an M.S. (with a major in finance) from Georgia State University in 1992. In addition to being a CPA, he is a Certified Information Technology Professional and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He currently holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a past member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In addition to his 14 years of experience at K2 Enterprises, Tommy has worked in public accounting practices, served as an internal auditor for a Fortune 50 company, and worked as a chief financial officer of an Atlanta-based business.
